Viva Social — Community Guidelines
Effective: 2026-08-13
Viva Social exists so people can make real plans. These guidelines keep the platform safe and useful. Violations result in warnings, bans, or removal from the platform — at our sole discretion.
1. Be yourself
- One real photo, of you, on your primary slot. Optional ID and selfie verification protects everyone.
- No celebrities, fictional characters, or AI-generated faces in your primary photo.
- No group shots as your primary photo. Other people in your gallery is fine if they're clearly not the subject.
2. Be honest
- Use your real first name.
- Don't lie about your age. We verify DOB at signup; misrepresentation is grounds for permanent ban.
- Don't lie about your gender or orientation.
3. Be safe
- Meet in public. The whole point is dinner — pick a restaurant.
- Use the Share plans with a friend feature. One tap sends your match's first name, photo, venue, and time to someone you trust.
- If someone makes you uncomfortable, block or report them. We review every report.
4. Be appropriate
- No nudity. Sexually explicit images are screened server-side: chat images are blocked before delivery, and profile photos are scanned after upload and removed if they fail or are reported.
- No solicitation. Prostitution, escort services, "sugar" arrangements, and similar are not allowed.
- No advertising or business promotion. Viva Social is not a business networking app.
- No harassment. Repeated unwanted contact, slurs, threats, or hate speech result in immediate ban.
- No spam. Mass invites, copy-paste DMs, and bots are not allowed.
5. Be 18+
- You must be 18 or older. We verify DOB at signup.
- If you encounter a user you believe is under 18, report them with category "Underage." We act within 24 hours.
6. Be respectful with photos
- Don't upload photos of other people (besides yourself) without their consent.
- Don't share screenshots of other users' chats, profiles, or photos outside the app.
- Don't reverse-image-search someone you matched with to identify them off-app.
7. Be a good guest at venues
- Don't no-show. If plans change, send a message — the chat is unlocked for a reason.
- Tip your server.
8. Reporting
Tap the (…) menu on any profile or chat. Pick a category:
- Fake profile — impersonation, stolen photos
- Inappropriate photo — nudity, hate symbols, violence
- Harassment — slurs, threats, repeated unwanted contact
- No-show — they confirmed and didn't appear
- Safety concern — feels unsafe, suspicious behaviour
- Spam — promoting business, mass DMs
- Underage — they appear to be under 18
- Child safety — sexual content or contact involving a minor. Reviewed ahead of everything else; see our Child Safety Standards
- Other — describe the issue
Reports are reviewed by our trust & safety team within 24 hours. We may contact you for clarification.
